Saint Maximilian Kolbe Council 9612
Council 9212 of the Knights of Columbus was chartered on July 6, 1987 in the St. Maximilian church in Mississauga, Ontario. Fr. Stan Bak approached Marian Wysocki with the idea of forming a Council at St. Maximilian Kolbe. Forty-seven brothers formed the Council at this time. Brother Marian Wysocki was elected as our Charter Grand Knight and Fr. Stan was our first chaplain. We shortly negotiated for our own council chambers at the Cultural Centre next to St. Maximilian church. The members of Council 9612 have always been very active and won numerous awards over the past years. We have had thirteen different members serve as our Grand Knight during our 20 year history. We have also had five Pastors serve in the role of Chaplain. There are just over 140 members in Council 9612, and we are averaging about 35% attendance at meetings, and 50% overall participation. We are proud to be a Star Council many times and we look forward to a strong future. Our meetings are held on the Second Tuesday of each month at Cultural Centre next to St. Maximilian church and new members are always welcome. For more information, please click-here to contact us. |
